Three services.
One accreditation.

Every service is delivered under the same UKAS ISO 17025 accreditation (Schedule No. 7933). Whether you need on-site pendulum testing across a Welsh retail portfolio, laboratory certification for a product range, or expert-witness work for Cardiff Civil Justice Centre — the data stands up in every Welsh court.

The practical gold standard.

UKAS ISO 17025 is the United Kingdom Accreditation Service standard for testing laboratories. It is not a vanity badge — it is what separates evidence-grade testing from marketing, in every court that sits in Wales.

WHY / 01

Independence

UKAS laboratories cannot sell treatments, chemicals, or replacement flooring. The report is never a sales tool — it is an evidence document.

WHY / 02

Traceability

Every measurement is fully documented: instrument calibration, environmental conditions, engineer qualifications. Every reading is reproducible.

WHY / 03

Court Admissibility

UKAS reports are consistently accepted as expert evidence by Welsh County Courts, the High Court sitting at Cardiff, the HSE and every major insurer operating in Wales.

WHY / 04

Annual Audit

UKAS laboratories are audited every year by independent UKAS assessors. No self-certification. No shortcuts. No conflicts of interest.

WHY / 05

Welsh Language Support

Reports and correspondence available in Welsh upon request — relevant for Welsh Government, NHS Wales and local authority engagements where Cymraeg is preferred.

WHY / 06

Cross-Border Continuity

The same UKAS standard applies equally across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland — so portfolio clients with cross-border estates get consistent, comparable data from one provider.

Know the numbers.

The Pendulum Test Value (PTV) is the HSE's preferred slip resistance metric under BS 7976 / BS EN 16165. These are the UK Slip Resistance Group (UKSRG) thresholds — applicable equally in Wales, in both dry and wet (contaminated) conditions.

PTV Value Classification Regulatory Position
36+ Low Slip Potential Compliant · acceptable
25 – 35 Moderate Potential Requires active risk management
Below 25 High Slip Potential Unacceptable — immediate action required

Sectors we serve.

We test across every commercial sector in Wales. Each environment has its own slip profile, its own regulatory exposure, and its own risk tolerance — from Cardiff retail centres and Valleys distribution parks to Milford Haven's energy terminals, Snowdonia hospitality and the Pembrokeshire tourism coast.

Every walkable surface.

From ceramic tile and slate paving to swimming pools, shower trays and anti-slip retrofits — our UKAS accreditation covers every common Welsh commercial flooring type.

Frequently asked.

How much does slip testing cost in Wales?
Every engagement is priced on site and scope. On-site BS 7976 / BS EN 16165 pendulum testing varies depending on location, number of test areas, access requirements and whether the testing is single-visit or part of a portfolio programme. We return a fixed-price written quote within 24 hours of enquiry — no sales call required.
Do you cover North Wales, Mid Wales and the islands?
Yes. We cover every principal area of Wales — including Gwynedd and Anglesey in the North West, Powys and Ceredigion in Mid Wales, and the Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire and Monmouthshire coastal and rural counties. For Anglesey sites we coordinate around Britannia and Menai Bridge access; for Pembrokeshire we combine trips where possible.
Are UKAS reports admissible in Welsh courts?
Yes. UKAS-accredited BS 7976 / BS EN 16165 reports are consistently accepted as expert evidence in Welsh County Courts, the High Court sitting at Cardiff, and by the HSE and all major insurers operating in Wales. The technical standard and evidential weight is identical to that applied in England.
Are reports available in Welsh?
Yes, on request. Reports and formal correspondence can be issued in Welsh alongside the English original — particularly relevant for Welsh Government, NHS Wales, Welsh-medium schools and certain local-authority engagements where Cymraeg is the preferred language of record.
How quickly can you attend a Welsh site?
South Wales and the M4 corridor are typically attended within 5–10 working days. North Wales and the Deeside corridor within 7–14 working days. Mid Wales (Powys, Ceredigion) and the western seaboard are usually 10–14 days, scheduled to combine nearby sites. Urgent post-incident attendance can often be arranged within 72–96 hours.
Do you test Welsh slate and heritage floors?
Yes. Natural Welsh slate, limestone, and heritage stone surfaces are routine for us — particularly in National Trust properties, cathedral floors, museums and historic hotels. Heritage surfaces often cannot be treated, so accurate baseline PTV data combined with cleaning-regime and footfall management is especially valuable.
Can you help with Welsh FM and retail portfolios?
Yes. We work with facilities management companies and retailers managing portfolios spanning all 22 Welsh principal areas, scheduling tests geographically to minimise travel and consolidating data into portfolio-level reporting.
What about Milford Haven and energy sites?
Milford Haven's LNG terminals, refineries and associated marine infrastructure have specialist slip profiles we test regularly. Permit-to-work, induction, and offshore-access protocols are all handled in advance.
